Services

Flying Changes provides Equine Assisted Learning and Psychotherapy services along with vocational and life skills training. Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, EAAT, utilize teachable moments experienced in the horse and human interactions. These moments allow clients the opportunity to better understand themselves and their world. EAAT relies on an experiential process in an emotionally safe and supportive environment. In an equine assisted activity, the unconditional acceptance yet genuine responses of horses often act as a mirror for our own strengths and issues.

Flying Changes mainly provides unmounted equine assisted activities but modifies their services based upon the needs of the client. Flying Changes believes that while both mounted and unmounted horse interactions are beneficial, our initial approach always begins on the ground. We strongly value the relationship and partnerships found in working with horses and identify ground work as a key to a strong foundation in mutual understanding and reciprocal relationships. As we work to support our clients and families in becoming a part of their community, we believe that lessons from the ground and the saddle can make a more sustainable society. Our organization believes in the philosophy and therapeutic approaches of the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association as well as the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International. To learn more about these organizations and their utilization within Flying Changes, please click here.
